ak content queue run-pending

Fire all scheduled posts whose time has arrived

Synopsis

What it does: Publish every queued post whose ScheduledAt is in the past or now. Idempotent: re-running will not double-publish entries already marked published. An advisory lockfile prevents concurrent double-publish from two processes.

Who it's for: Both: automated cron/timer callers (--json) and manual one-shot execution.

When to use it: Use in a cron job or call manually to flush due posts without starting the daemon.

Examples: ak content queue run-pending ak content queue run-pending --json

What changes on disk: Reads and writes ~/.agentkit/content/queue.json atomically. Creates a transient lock file alongside the queue while running.

Output modes: pretty default on TTY (colors, ASCII markers) plain auto when stdout piped or --no-interactive json --json (single-object envelope, NDJSON-safe)

Exit codes: 0 success 1 runtime error 2 invalid flags 3 user-cancel (SIGINT, prompt-cancel)

Options

  -h, --help             help for run-pending
      --json             Emit machine-readable JSON (implies --no-interactive)
      --no-interactive   Disable interactive prompts (CI-safe)
  -q, --quiet            Suppress non-error output on stderr
  -V, --verbose          Extra diagnostic output on stderr (loses to --quiet)
  -y, --yes              Assume yes for all prompts
